INTRODUCTION
The automotive world is built by thousands of independent craftspeople — stitchers, fabricators, leatherworkers, welders, 3D-makers, trim pros, badge designers, metal shapers, and small-shop creators who bring skill, intention, and design awareness to everything they make.
We use the word autelier to describe these people.
If you create with your hands, your eye, and your own sense of design, you’re an autelier — and this Collective is for you.
WHAT IS AN AUTELIER?
Autelier (noun)
An automotive craftsperson — someone who blends hands-on skill, design-conscious thinking, and small-batch workmanship to shape the automotive world.
Auteliers are:
- Craft-first
- Detail-driven
- Independent by nature
- Builders in a world of mass production
If this describes you, welcome. You’re part of the Collective already.
WHY DO WE NEED A COLLECTIVE?
The automotive craft ecosystem is wide and talented, but it has never had a simple name for the makers who elevate it. The Autelier Collective gives that identity a home.
This isn’t a directory or marketplace — not yet.
It’s simply a shared space to recognize the hands, tools, and independent shops shaping the automotive craft community.
We believe craft deserves a name.
And together, we give it one.
